Russian Consulates abroad have very strict requirements about documents they accept for name changes. If you want to change your last name based on your marriage certificate, this certificate must indicate that you have received the new last name after marriage. Unfortunately, most states in the U.S. do not indicate the new last name on the marriage certificate. If this situation applies to you, you must request a petition of name change through a court.

We are glad to help you with every step of this complicated process. We can obtain apostilles and make certified Russian translations as it is required by the Consulate for additional fees. Also, we will have the Russian Consulate review all the paperwork before submitting to avoid having your application denied.

Throughout the years we have been in business, we have worked with many complicated cases, such as multiply name changes. Please call us (888) 9-RUSSIA or (888) 978-7742 to discuss the specifics of your case!

You can obtain either a 5-year or 10-year Russian travel passport with a name change through our company.

After receiving your new Russian travel passport with your name change you will be able to obtain a new Russian internal passport in Russia at the Ministry of Internal Affairs with the documents proving the name change which you have already used with the Russian Consulate/Embassy.
